A Grumman Alabatross owned and flown by Bill DaSilva sitting on Lochearn, one of a number of seaplanes that flew into the Loch over the weekend, including a Christan Husky, a Lake Amphibian, Cessna 206, Cessna 185 from as far afield as the US, Norway, Finland and Sweeden.  The centre is home to the Seaplane Club and is the only place in the UK that is licensed to conduct flying boat training. The gathering was described as the flying boat equivalent to a 'Vintage Car Rally', the flying boat pictured is a 1955 Grumman Alabatross owned by North West Airlines pilto Bill DaSilva from Tecumseh in Michigan, he restored the former US Navy Search and Rescue aircraft, which was based in the Pacific, after buying it in 1994, and stopped off at Lochearnhead on his way back to the states after taking part in Seawings 2000, held in Southampton. The aircraft has a 3000 mile 16 hour range and a top speed of around 130mph.<br />

The gathering was described as the flying boat equivalent to a 'Vintage Car Rally', the flying boat pictured is a 1955 Grumman Alabatross owned by North West Airlines pilto Bill DaSilva from Tecumseh in Michigan, he restored the former US Navy Search and Rescue aircraft, which was based in the Pacific, after buying it in 1994, and stopped off at Lochearnhead on his way back to the states after taking part in Seawings 2000, held in Southampton. The aircraft has a 3000 mile 16 hour range and a top speed of around 130mph.<br />

A Grumman Alabatross owned and flown by Bill DaSilva takes off from Lochearn, one of a number of seaplanes that flew into the Loch over the weekend, including a Christan Husky, a Lake Amphibian, Cessna 206, Cessna 185 from as far afield as the US, Norway, Finland and Sweeden.  The centre is home to the Seaplane Club and is the only place in the UK that is licensed to conduct flying boat training.
