Tony 'Taff' Smith of The Real Aeroplane Company flying his 1944 Spitfire PR MKXI over the East Lothian countryside on his way the the Millenium Festival of Flight.
The Spitfire was used for photo reconnaissance flying over 50 sorties ib France and Germany. It is in the markings of No 16 Squadron, painted pink which was the colour of European below cloud camoflauge
