PPA_SconePalacePeacocks-10.jpg
Scone Palace near Perth home of Lord Mansfield which is currently closed to the public due to the Cornovirus Pandemic, however the resident peacocks at the Palace are enjoying the peace and quiet…The peacocks have been roaming the grounds of the Palace for over 200 years.
The mating rituals are marked by flashy displays of brilliant tail feathers. The peacocks use their stunning blue and green tail feathers during the breeding season to advertise their sexual and physical fitness. Peahen preference for males with large, colorful tail feathers is a prime example of natural selection at work.
