L/Cpl Alan Ferrier of the 1st Battallion The Black Watch sits on a bench in the gardens of Balhousie Castle, Perth, home to the Black Watch Museum to mark the first anniversary of the death of L/Cpl Barry Stephen who was the first Scottish soldier to be killed in action in Iraq on the 24th March 2003. L/Cpl Ferrier was a good friend of L/Cpl Stephen.He is pictured with colleagues Pte Daneil Dixon (left) and Pte Daniel Rooney (right).
