A fond farewell to the Bolkow BO-105 which has served SCAA (Scotlands Charity Air Ambulance) since the launch of the country's only charity funded air ambulance service in May 2013 as Helimed 76. The aircraft has been replaced by the larger and more modern EC135 and will take over as Helimed 76 from today (08.11.15)
The Bolkow 105 was once the mainstay of air ambulances in the UK, SCAA's Bolkow was the last working example of her type.
The photograph shows the Bolkow leaving Perth for the last time on a grey Sunday morning escorted by her replacement.
